The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Karabaglar's goalkeeper Mert Salti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gencer Kavi. When Erdal Sümer in the 30th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Mert Salti kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. In the 34th minute, Gencer Kavi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uzunköprü fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Erdal Sümer struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Mert Salti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uzunköprü. Gencer Kavi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uzunköprü's Galip Benli got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gökalp Mutluer made the kick off in the second half. When Erdal Sümer came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Uzunköprü fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erdal Sümer couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Karabaglar getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Aycan Alkın hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute Erdal Sümer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mert Salti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gencer Kavi in the 64th minute of play forced Karabaglar's goalkeeper Mert Salti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Erdal Sümer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karabaglar's Mert Salti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gencer Kavi in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Galip Benli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, Aycan Alkın hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uğuralp Tengiroğlu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gökalp Mutluer's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 78thth minute of the game Erdal Sümer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karabaglar's Mert Salti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Karabaglar's goal looked a bit too open when Erdal Sümer came free, but Mert Salti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karabaglar's Mustafa Numan Korcan got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st match minute, Uzunköprü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Turan Yalkı to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Karabaglar's zone, Erdal Sümer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mert Salti came out of the goal and Erdal Sümer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Erdal Sümer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Gencer Kavi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Uzunköprü had played much better football throughout.
