With a left leg Serbülent Yağızkurt saved Karsiyaka SK from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Atabey Salah during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Karsiyaka SK getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Atabey Salah hit a great ball. Serbülent Yağızkurt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdurrezzak Akgöze's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Serbülent Yağızkurt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cemal Hacılar in the 28th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdurrezzak Akgöze in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serbülent Yağızkurt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Serbülent Yağızkurt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdurrezzak Akgöze's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Aktan Tangun struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Serbülent Yağızkurt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hendek. Erman Derman charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erman Derman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Abdurrezzak Akgöze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serbülent Yağızkurt having to interfere. After 42 minutes of play Karsiyaka SK's Atabey Salah was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 43 played minutes Karsiyaka SK got a freekick which was hit by Atabey Salah. Timur Perkel kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Karsiyaka SK defense, Osman Okanay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serbülent Yağızkurt. The Karsiyaka SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serbülent Yağızkurt should have stopped the shot. The Karsiyaka SK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hendek were winning 0-1.

Şerafettin Attaroğlu's late challenge caught a Karsiyaka SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Şerafettin Attaroğlu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Karsiyaka SK booed when Hendek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. When Hendek's Abdurrezzak Akgöze in 64 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Serbülent Yağızkurt guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After a defensive mix-up in Karsiyaka SK's zone, Aktan Tangun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serbülent Yağızkurt came out of the goal and Aktan Tangun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Aktan Tangun came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Hendek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aktan Tangun couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the match, Karsiyaka SK's goal looked a bit too open when Aktan Tangun came free, but Serbülent Yağızkurt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Osman Okanay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serbülent Yağızkurt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdurrezzak Akgöze in the 96th minute of the match. Aktan Tangun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Serbülent Yağızkurt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Hendek left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Karsiyaka SK.
