When Altan Hızır came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Akcakoca SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Altan Hızır couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Saruhanli JK's Bilgin Hekimoğlu got control of the ball when Altan Hızır tried to sneak it across the goal line. Halil İbrahim Çidam might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bilgin Hekimoğlu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Halil İbrahim Çidam ran back to his position shaking his head. Altan Hızır's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bilgin Hekimoğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Cumhur Aynacı charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cumhur Aynacı the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Saruhanli JK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Akcakoca SK:s goal. Altan Hızırs short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Bilgin Hekimoğlu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Altan Hızır had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Güneş Cinel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serbülent Erdemalp in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Onurhan Saatçioğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Akcakoca SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saruhanli JK the free kick. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Akcakoca SK! In the 41st minute there was a penalty for Saruhanli JK. Ahmet Danış Savlet stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Güneş Cinel. 1-2. Mesut Teber hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute Altan Hızır shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bilgin Hekimoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 48 played minutes Akcakoca SK got a freekick which was hit by Halil İbrahim Çidam. 49 minutes into the match, Saruhanli JK's Ahmet Danış Savlet broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mesut Teber made a kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Mesut Teber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saruhanli JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mesut Teber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mesut Teber in the 57th minute of play forced Akcakoca SK's goalkeeper Güneş Cinel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Mesut Teber managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saruhanli JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Mesut Teber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Güneş Cinel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Saruhanli JK's goalkeeper Bilgin Hekimoğlu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bilgin Hekimoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Altan Hızır, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute Namık Özertem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Güneş Cinel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Akcakoca SK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 98th minute, when Mesut Teber scored to the left of an out of position Güneş Cinel, making the score, 1-4.
