The player immediately received a yellow card. 5 minutes into the match, Civril JK's Berke Onuk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Asım Arif Şimşektürk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hamdi Özdener hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Hilmi Ayyıldız in the 9thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cuma Hayırlı, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Van booed when Civril JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berke Onuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Hilmi Ayyıldız managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Van's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hilmi Ayyıldız was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21 minutes, Gani Baldemir mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Van and the Civril JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, one of Civril JK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Civril JK. Cuma Hayırlı went to the wrong direction when Kutay Fırat was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 27th match minute, Civril JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hulki User to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 32 minutes, Hilmi Ayyıldız managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Van's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hilmi Ayyıldız was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cuma Hayırlı made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gani Baldemir in the 33rd minute. A collision led to Civril JK getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Berkan Bedük hit a great ball. When Hilmi Ayyıldız came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Van fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilmi Ayyıldız couldn't finish the play. Berke Onuk struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Asım Arif Şimşektürk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Civril JK. Cuma Hayırlı was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gani Baldemir showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 47 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Behram Temizöz made the kick off in the second half. Cuma Hayırlı didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gani Baldemir went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Berke Onuk charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Berke Onuk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hilmi Ayyıldız received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Cuma Hayırlı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Civril JK's Cuma Hayırlı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilmi Ayyıldız in the 65th minute of play. Özer Bostancıoğlu charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Özer Bostancıoğlu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Civril JK booed when Van was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Özer Bostancıoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Van getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Kutay Fırat hit a great ball. In the 80th minute, Berke Onuk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cuma Hayırlı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilmi Ayyıldız, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 90th minute, Berke Onuk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Hilmi Ayyıldız had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Civril JK! When the referee ended the match the Van players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
