Aykut Kurboga kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 7th match minute, Galata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Fikret Ağar to maneuver through the defense. İlyas Murat hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Ahmet Bedri İsiman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cevdet Tanyeli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Can Şahinkan having to interfere. After 28 minutes of play, Galata's Salih Muhteşem made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Battal Gazi Servet was left in no man's land by his defense there! 35 minutes into the match, Galata's goal looked a bit too open when Cevdet Tanyeli came free, but Can Şahinkan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Anıl Ozan Tokkan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salih Muhteşem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Salih Muhteşem to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Anıl Ozan Tokkan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Gerede booed when Galata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Fikret Ağar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute of the match Sinan Borlu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Can Şahinkan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Galata getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Ahmet İlke Vefi hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Sinan Borlu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Can Şahinkan skillfully saved the ball. Can Şahinkan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cevdet Tanyeli in the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Cevdet Tanyeli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gerede fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Gerede's zone, Salih Muhteşem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Battal Gazi Servet came out of the goal and Salih Muhteşem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the game, Galata's Anıl Ozan Tokkan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Battal Gazi Servet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 85 minutes into the game, Anıl Ozan Tokkan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Battal Gazi Servet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gerede's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Salih Muhteşem scored to the left of an out of position Battal Gazi Servet, making the score, 1-4.
