But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Birsel Akdağ couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Birsel Akdağ managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tercan's supporters rose to their feet, but Birsel Akdağ was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Halil Utku Aksoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Tercan booed when Dursunbey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Orhan Gökekin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hadi Sağman made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Akay Emekli sent off a good shot on target. When Tercan's Baysal Naşit in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Hadi Sağman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dursunbey. Muzaffer Baysoy hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Birsel Akdağ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Halil Utku Aksoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Halil Utku Aksoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baysal Naşit in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

If Baysal Naşit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hayrullah Doğa in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hadi Sağman saved Tercan from getting behind. Akay Emekli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hadi Sağman having to interfere. Baysal Naşit's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Halil Utku Aksoy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Akay Emekli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dursunbey's supporters crossed their fingers, but Akay Emekli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th match minute, Tercan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faik Buyrukalp to maneuver through the defense. Baysal Naşit struck a weak shot in the 67th minute.
