Björn Gernberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Talha Eymen in the 3rd minute of the match. The supporters of ÇANAKKALE SPOR booed when Mühendisbey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ekber Oksu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Serbülent Behram cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Björn Gernberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Björn Gernberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serbülent Behram's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Hasret Acunalp struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Ramón Vaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mühendisbey. An unexpectedly hard shot by Talha Eymen in the 20th minute of play forced Mühendisbey's goalkeeper Björn Gernberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ekber Oksu kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Ramón Vaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hasret Acunalp in the 32nd minute. The supporters of Mühendisbey booed when ÇANAKKALE SPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modesto Smitmans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Björn Gernberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Talha Eymen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 55th match minute, Mühendisbey was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hasret Acunalp to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Mühendisbey's Ekber Oksu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ekber Oksu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mühendisbey protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ekber Oksu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mühendisbey! Björn Gernberg had in the 57thth minute some difficulties stopping Talha Eymen's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 60th match minute, ÇANAKKALE SPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nizam Ungur to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Sefa Deryace took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Björn Gernberg to make any attempt to save it. After 70 minutes of play, ÇANAKKALE SPOR's Serbülent Behram made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Björn Gernberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 73rd minute Sefa Deryace suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After 73 minutes, Mustafa Necati Yürük mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mühendisbey and the ÇANAKKALE SPOR players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mühendisbey getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Mustafa Necati Yürük hit a great ball. Batu Zaha kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. With a little luck, Mühendisbey's Björn Gernberg got control of the ball when Abdulvahit Haktanır tried to sneak it across the goal line. Björn Gernberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sefa Deryace, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Mühendisbey's goal looked a bit too open when Abdulvahit Haktanır came free, but Björn Gernberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
