Kerim İlkim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Okanay Kutlay having to interfere. Okanay Kutlay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yıldıray Erçivan in the 11th minute of play. Kerim İlkim took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Okanay Kutlay. Okanay Kutlay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 20th minute, Clemente Jaen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Okanay Kutlay was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 22 minutes of play, Mesut FC's Yıldıray Erçivan made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Okanay Kutlay was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25thth minute of the game Baba Popescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yesilköy's Okanay Kutlay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mesut FC's Baba Popescu got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Okanay Kutlay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baba Popescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the Yesilköy defense, Baba Popescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Okanay Kutlay. The Yesilköy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Okanay Kutlay should have stopped the shot. In the 31st minute, Yesilköy's Gencal Süphan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gencal Süphan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Yesilköy protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gencal Süphan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Mesut FC a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kerim İlkim, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Yesilköy's Okanay Kutlay. 0-5. 38 minutes into the game, Baba Popescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Okanay Kutlay was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Mesut FC booed when Yesilköy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maşallah Maradona didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel Jusepe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Behram Ekincioğlu in the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.
The wind increased when Baba Popescu made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baba Popescu got free with Okanay Kutlay in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th match minute, Yesilköy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demiralp Garipoğlu to maneuver through the defense. Mesut FC's Erkin Şensoy was substituted for Jesus Fair. In the 60th match minute, Yesilköy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demiralp Garipoğlu to maneuver through the defense. Okanay Kutlay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baba Popescu in the 61st minute. Abel Jusepe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hulki Çolakoğlu in the 63rd minute of play. Baba Popescu took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Okanay Kutlay. Okanay Kutlay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Yıldıray Erçivan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Okanay Kutlay came out and tried to block the shot, but Yıldıray Erçivan slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 67th minute. Okanay Kutlay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yıldıray Erçivan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Okanay Kutlay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erkin Şensoy in the 75th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Okanay Kutlay successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Egemen Süreyya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the game, Cenk Karataş was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yesilköy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mesut FC the free kick. In the 80th minute, Cenk Karataş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yesilköy's goalkeeper Okanay Kutlay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baba Popescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Okanay Kutlay made a huge save. Baba Popescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Kerim İlkim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Okanay Kutlay made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Baba Popescu sent off a good shot on target. 95 minutes into the match, Yesilköy's goalkeeper Okanay Kutlay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Egemen Süreyya. Mesut FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
