The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Osman Nuri Kayra kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Garip Toper ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sarp Oğuztüzün was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Rolling In The Deep's goalkeeper Sarp Oğuztüzün had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Battal Uluman. A collision led to VAKFIKEBİR FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Turgut Onur hit a great ball. In the 22nd match minute, VAKFIKEBİR FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garip Ümit to maneuver through the defense. Çağdaş Sadiray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Hulusi Sabuncu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Kıvanç Tacir was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VAKFIKEBİR FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rolling In The Deep the free kick. After 26 played minutes Rolling In The Deep got a freekick which was hit by Çağdaş Sadiray. Sarp Oğuztüzün came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by VAKFIKEBİR FC's Battal Uluman. But to his dismay, Battal Uluman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 34 played minutes VAKFIKEBİR FC got a freekick which was hit by Garip Ümit. In the 35th minute, Gazi Senih got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Rolling In The Deep's goal looked a bit too open when Garip Toper came free, but Sarp Oğuztüzün reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Çağrı Öktuğ in the 40th minute of play forced VAKFIKEBİR FC's goalkeeper Hulusi Sabuncu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rüstem Şah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sezer Kayraalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ali Nejat Baysungur made the kick off in the second half. If Çağrı Öktuğ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Battal Uluman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Sarp Oğuztüzün tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sarp Oğuztüzün showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Nejat Baysungur in the 62nd minute of the match. Sezer Kayraalp was extremely unlucky when he, in the 63rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Garip Toper fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VAKFIKEBİR FC's protests and gave Garip Toper a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th match minute, VAKFIKEBİR FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garip Toper to maneuver through the defense. Hulusi Sabuncu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gazi Senih in the 66th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ali Nejat Baysungur in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sarp Oğuztüzün prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, VAKFIKEBİR FC's Abdulhamit İşkembeci got a free kick in the 70th minute. Hulusi Sabuncu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Çağdaş Sadiray in the 72nd minute of the match. Çağrı Öktuğ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hulusi Sabuncu having to interfere. Çağdaş Sadiray's late challenge caught a VAKFIKEBİR FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Çağdaş Sadiray helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd minute Ali Nejat Baysungur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sarp Oğuztüzün saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolling In The Deep's Çağdaş Sadiray got his second yellow card of the match in the 83rd minute. The referee ordered Çağdaş Sadiray off the ground. Rolling In The Deep's Sarp Oğuztüzün played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Nejat Baysungur in the 94th minute of play. 97 minutes into the game, Ali Nejat Baysungur cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Sarp Oğuztüzün was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
