Steve Harvey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Geovânio Moreno made a huge save. After having played for 8 minutes, Hurşit Tunçaslan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ankara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hurşit Tunçaslan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Goklerspor's Gündüz Gümüşcü played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hurşit Tunçaslan in the 12th minute of play. Steve Harvey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Hızır Sancaktar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovânio Moreno was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Gündüz Gümüşcü took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Necdet Cantez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Özcan Keykavus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yusuf Bahadır Namal in the 25th minute of play forced Goklerspor's goalkeeper Gündüz Gümüşcü to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geovânio Moreno was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Yunus Raif. Ankara's Geovânio Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hızır Sancaktar in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Goklerspor booed when Ankara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beşir Kaçkar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Yunus Raif sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ankara's Geovânio Moreno didn't even have to move. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Steve Harvey got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 39th minute, Beşir Kaçkar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Steve Harvey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Goklerspor getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Hızır Sancaktar hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hızır Sancaktar to strike the kick off in the second half. Geovânio Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hızır Sancaktar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Necdet Cantez got free with Gündüz Gümüşcü in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yunus Raif's late challenge caught a Ankara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yunus Raif helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Goklerspor's Yunus Raif got a free kick in the 61st minute. Necdet Cantez kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Geovânio Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Harvey in the 64th minute of the match. Hurşit Tunçaslan kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Geovânio Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hızır Sancaktar in the 66th minute of play. In the 71st minute Goklerspor were awarded a corner. Yunus Raif went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 74th minute Hızır Sancaktar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovânio Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hızır Sancaktar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Goklerspor's Hızır Sancaktar in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ankara's goalie prevented a goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 80 minutes into the game, when Asım Arif Demirkan put in a rough tackle. Asım Arif Demirkan hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Hatemi Taha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goklerspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Hatemi Taha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geovânio Moreno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87thth minute of the game Hızır Sancaktar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ankara's Geovânio Moreno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Özcan Keykavus struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Geovânio Moreno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goklerspor. Many of Ankara's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ankara may have spent more time on the ball, but Goklerspor were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
