Rotary FC's Arif Burak Özyuva got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arif Burak Özyuva in the 4th minute of play forced VanSpor's goalkeeper Ruud Wollans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baskın Bal kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Efe Uçman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bumin Altuner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 10 minutes, Hazar Taner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VanSpor and the Rotary FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rotary FC booed when VanSpor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hazar Taner didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 minutes of play, VanSpor's Bumin Altuner made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Efe Uçman was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by İshak Özdek in the 16th minute of play forced Rotary FC's goalkeeper Efe Uçman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruud Wollans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arif Burak Özyuva, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. VanSpor's Ruud Wollans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Burak Özyuva in the 23rd minute of play. In the 31st minute Arif Burak Özyuva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruud Wollans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Arif Burak Özyuva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mirkelam Güleç hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute of the match, Arif Burak Özyuva tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ruud Wollans saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Şafak Gilşah took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Ruud Wollans to make any attempt to save it. Efe Uçman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bumin Altuner in the 40th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arif Burak Özyuva was the one to do the kick off. Rotary FC's Efe Uçman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mirkelam Güleç in the 52nd minute of play. Efe Uçman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İshak Özdek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yusuf Bahadır Akdoğu hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. İshak Özdek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Efe Uçman having to make a save. In the 62nd minute, Lütfi Bayezit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VanSpor's Mirkelam Güleç got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Rotary FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Yusuf Bahadır Akdoğu hit a great ball. VanSpor's Ruud Wollans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Burak Özyuva in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, İshak Özdek reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Efe Uçman. The goal made the score 2-2. In the 76th minute, VanSpor's İshak Özdek dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. In the 80th match minute, Rotary FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zafer Derdiyok to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute of the match Mirkelam Güleç shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Efe Uçman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Arif Burak Özyuva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Yusuf Bahadır Akdoğu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruud Wollans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Arif Burak Özyuva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rotary FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. After 92 played minutes Rotary FC got a freekick which was hit by Yılmaz Öveç. 95 minutes into the game, Arif Burak Özyuva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Ruud Wollans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. VanSpor's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
