In the 11th match minute, TRABZONSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armağan Sabahaddin to maneuver through the defense. Steffen Holten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Üzeyir Nasreddin in the 16th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes Aliaga got a freekick which was hit by Volkan Kayıboylu. Steffen Holten stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dilmen Denizer's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After 21 minutes Aliaga's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Necat İhtiyar who took care of the corner kick. If Dilmen Denizer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gürel Uyguralp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamdullah Buğra, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Ertuğrul Karar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Steffen Holten was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hulusi Tümerkin hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Hamdullah Buğra kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Armağan Sabahaddin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Steffen Holten was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armağan Sabahaddin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th match minute, TRABZONSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armağan Sabahaddin to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute of the game, Volkan Kayıboylu landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 93 minutes into the game, Ertuğrul Karar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Aliaga supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Aliaga would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
