After 7 played minutes UlusoySpor got a freekick which was hit by Timur İlkser. GALATASARAY SK's Timo Rea couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 8th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for UlusoySpor. When Yahya Tuncer came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the GALATASARAY SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yahya Tuncer couldn't finish the play. Baskın Karakan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hüseyin Turan Cesman having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Gian-Carlo Irizar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ali Atıf Denizcan. UlusoySpor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gian-Carlo Irizar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to GALATASARAY SK getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Serhat Reşan hit a great ball. When Zhelyo Kúrshev came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the UlusoySpor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zhelyo Kúrshev couldn't finish the play. Ali Atıf Denizcan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gian-Carlo Irizar, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Lorenzo Sergi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ali Atıf Denizcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Sergi in the 27th minute of play forced UlusoySpor's goalkeeper Ali Atıf Denizcan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Encang Wibowo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in UlusoySpor's zone, Gian-Carlo Irizar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ali Atıf Denizcan came out of the goal and Gian-Carlo Irizar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lorenzo Sergi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ali Atıf Denizcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 38 minutes, Baskın Karakan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UlusoySpor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baskın Karakan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. GALATASARAY SK's Hüseyin Turan Cesman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save GALATASARAY SK from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute, Lorenzo Sergi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ali Atıf Denizcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gian-Carlo Irizar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gian-Carlo Irizar made a kick off. After a rather tough play, UlusoySpor's Oğuzkan Yalazay got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ali Atıf Denizcan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gian-Carlo Irizar in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gian-Carlo Irizar in the 60th minute of play forced UlusoySpor's goalkeeper Ali Atıf Denizcan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gian-Carlo Irizar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ali Atıf Denizcan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to UlusoySpor getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Onur Sarik hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY SK's goal looked a bit too open when Zhelyo Kúrshev came free, but Hüseyin Turan Cesman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baskın Karakan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Ali Atıf Denizcan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Lorenzo Sergi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Ali Atıf Denizcan made a huge save. If Encang Wibowo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baskın Karakan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Hüseyin Turan Cesman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. GALATASARAY SK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
