Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kenny N'Diaye took the kick off in the first half of the match. Hristivoj Stoichkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Semail Kılıçer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 6 minutes into the match, Lokman Sağlamtürk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emir Çile. Ekvator Ginesi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lokman Sağlamtürk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Lokman Sağlamtürk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emir Çile read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Ekvator Ginesi's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Başaran Tuncay scored to the left of an out of position Emir Çile, making the score, 3-0. When Newells Old Boys's Kenny N'Diaye in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ekvator Ginesi's goalie prevented a goal. Ekvator Ginesi's Emir Çile proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Ekvator Ginesi from getting a goal against them. Ekvator Ginesi's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Başaran Tuncay scored to the left of an out of position Emir Çile, making the score, 4-0. In the 32nd minute, Lokman Sağlamtürk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Başaran Tuncay in the 34th minute of play forced Ekvator Ginesi's goalkeeper Emir Çile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alptuğ Behram scored 5-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emir Çile, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lokman Sağlamtürk got free with Emir Çile in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ekvator Ginesi's Emir Çile proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Ekvator Ginesi from getting a goal against them. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ekvator Ginesi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Başaran Tuncay was slow to take the kick. During this time Newells Old Boys's players had a chance to rest. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hristivoj Stoichkov made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Lokman Sağlamtürk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emir Çile was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. After 57 minutes of play, Newells Old Boys's Başaran Tuncay made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emir Çile was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Ekvator Ginesi's Doğuş Ekici got a free kick in the 61st minute. Kenny N'Diaye fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emir Çile having to interfere. Lokman Sağlamtürk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 minutes, Vahap Uğurhan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ekvator Ginesi and the Newells Old Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ekvator Ginesi's Emir Çile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lokman Sağlamtürk in the 68th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Ekvator Ginesi's goal looked a bit too open when Kenny N'Diaye came free, but Emir Çile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Lokman Sağlamtürk made a precise shot to the right of Emir Çile. Ekvator Ginesi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 11-0. A collision led to Newells Old Boys getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Lokman Sağlamtürk hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lokman Sağlamtürk in the 89th minute of play forced Ekvator Ginesi's goalkeeper Emir Çile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kenny N'Diaye took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emir Çile. Emir Çile dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 13-0. Newells Old Boys's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
