When Fuat Soysan came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the LEGEND OF GALATASARAY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fuat Soysan couldn't finish the play. Atilla Kaman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adil Başaydın's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. After 7 played minutes LEGEND OF GALATASARAY got a freekick which was hit by Muhsin Ekinoğlu. 9 minutes into the match, Bayern Münih's Eren Özerkin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mustafa Ekrem İshak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19th minute Zikri Temizöz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilla Kaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adil Başaydın could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Atilla Kaman made a huge save. Mustafa Ekrem İshak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eren Özerkin in the 26th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, Eren Özerkin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mustafa Ekrem İshak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Fuat Soysan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute of the match, Necip Fazıl Tankan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Atilla Kaman was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Atilla Kaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fuat Soysan, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eren Özerkin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eren Özerkin in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mustafa Ekrem İshak saved LEGEND OF GALATASARAY from getting behind. Yıldırım Gürtuna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Muhsin Ekinoğlu made in the 61st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Mehmet Ali Kamuran. Mustafa Ekrem İshak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eren Özerkin in the 63rd minute of play. Eren Özerkin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mustafa Ekrem İshak came out and tried to block the shot, but Eren Özerkin slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 67th minute. Ali Hamza Özberk hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Adil Başaydın struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Atilla Kaman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LEGEND OF GALATASARAY. After having played for 80 minutes, Fuat Soysan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LEGEND OF GALATASARAY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fuat Soysan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mustafa Ekrem İshak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eren Özerkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Necip Fazıl Tankan during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, LEGEND OF GALATASARAY's Necip Fazıl Tankan got a free kick in the 85th minute. After some careless play in the Bayern Münih defense, Fuat Soysan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Atilla Kaman. The Bayern Münih fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Atilla Kaman should have stopped the shot. After 96 played minutes LEGEND OF GALATASARAY got a freekick which was hit by İbrahim Ethem Taygar. Bayern Münih's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
