Fabinho Pombal might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reese Barclay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabinho Pombal ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustaw Szkaradek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reese Barclay having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho Pombal in the 58th minute of play forced Sapanca FK's goalkeeper Reese Barclay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilbert Czajka hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the match, Hakan Karabasov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cesur Polatkılıç. Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hakan Karabasov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 90th minute Ricardo Stenshøj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesur Polatkılıç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sapanca FK were victorious despite being under pressure from Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK FK for much of the match.
