Kocaelispor were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Baran Alp Tekecan took the corner. Henrik Devold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökay Özkoc having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kazım Haylaz in the 31st minute of play forced Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü's goalkeeper Gökay Özkoc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gökay Özkoc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bayındır Toktahan in the 33rd minute. The audience was convinced that Kalle Karfelt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mustafa Kemal Dalmaz was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Kocaelispor's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
