After some careless play in the San Gwann Birlik defense, Kostas Stathakos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samim Esentürk. The San Gwann Birlik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samim Esentürk should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, DMR Futbol AŞ's Saverio Urquijo got control of the ball when Mariusz Kocieniewski tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to San Gwann Birlik getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Celal Taşkan hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The DMR Futbol AŞ fans cheered their team off the field, for while San Gwann Birlik had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
