Nusrettin Ekşioğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göktürk Özgiray in the 40th minute of the match. Üzeyir Acaröz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özer Akartürk having to interfere. Nusrettin Ekşioğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Çağrı Demiroğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Finans Spor's Nusrettin Ekşioğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mithat Bera in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The supporters of Niğdespor booed when Finans Spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Selim Raif didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute Göktürk Özgiray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nusrettin Ekşioğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Göktürk Özgiray got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Niğdespor's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
