If Georg Bringtoft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giresun United F.K ©'s Kubat Aydınoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Figueiredo in the 19th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Flores during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Los Tatangelos getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Paulo Flores hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Kubat Aydınoğlu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kubat Aydınoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gürbüz Hendekli, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Vacib Bartu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Georg Bringtoft, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Arkın İcabi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dündar Ülkenur was the one to do the kick off. Kubat Aydınoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Flores, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uygur Okatan kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Los Tatangelos's Paulo Flores tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Kubat Aydınoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gürbüz Hendekli in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dündar Ülkenur in the 56th minute of play forced Giresun United F.K ©'s goalkeeper Kubat Aydınoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enzo Di Cintio hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. When Giresun United F.K ©'s Alemdar Oykan in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Giresun United F.K ©'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Matildo Ubakivi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 92 minutes of play, Los Tatangelos's Jorge Figueiredo made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kubat Aydınoğlu was left in no man's land by his defense there!
