Bovingdon FC's Habib Al Mansor got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Fawzy Al Mosawe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kidsgrove FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fawzy Al Mosawe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shabeb Shalan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Shabeb Shalan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fawzy Al Mosawe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Zaher Al Mothaf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Waleed Al Sohali was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. 23 minutes into the match, Ramadan Al Hajri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shabeb Shalan. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fawzy Al Mosawe to make the kick off. Ramadan Al Hajri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fawzy Al Mosawe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shabeb Shalan having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Kidsgrove FC's Fawzy Al Mosawe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Shabeb Shalan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Zaher Al Mothaf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Habib Al Mansor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Kidsgrove FC booed when Bovingdon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gawhar Al Hadhod didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yousef Al Ateqi charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yousef Al Ateqi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Ramadan Al Hajri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Shabeb Shalan was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. In the 78th match minute, Bovingdon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malik Abol to maneuver through the defense. Kidsgrove FC's Waleed Al Sohali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaher Al Mothaf in the 90th minute of play. Zaher Al Mothaf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waleed Al Sohali having to interfere. Bovingdon FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
