The audience thought a goal was coming when Hassan Al Shati got free with Lafi Al Balool in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute, Salam Al Sherazi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fakher Al Mothaf was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tariq Al Mofede stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Salam Al Sherazi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salam Al Sherazi in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fakher Al Mothaf, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 62 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Clapham City's Tariq Al Mofede fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. When Ameen Al Ghanem fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clapham City's protests and gave Ameen Al Ghanem a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bakewell FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
