Mortada Al Rifaee who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Farhan Al Towatan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haitham Al Sherazi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 84th minute, Tamem Al Banai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Bader Al Banai fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Woodchurch City's protests and gave Bader Al Banai a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Mortada Al Rifaee managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leiston City's supporters rose to their feet, but Mortada Al Rifaee was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Farhan Al Towatan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tamem Al Banai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Farhan Al Towatan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
