The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Yahya Khorshed left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Horley City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 39th match minute, Selsey was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yaqoub Al Qattan to maneuver through the defense. When Talal Al Khars came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Horley City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Talal Al Khars couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 44 in the game by Talal Al Khars from a close distance when the talented Lafi Shams managed to make a qualified save. Selsey's players were relieved.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mohammad Al Shati made a kick off. Lafi Shams showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yahya Khorshed in the 55th minute of the match. Lafi Shams took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yahya Khorshed, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horley City's Yahya Khorshed got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Selsey were furious when Mahdi Al Srae was red carded, 78 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Lafi Shams made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Talal Al Khars in the 86th minute of play. Yahya Khorshed received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Lafi Shams tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Horley City's Rida Al Motar got a free kick in the 97th minute. Horley City's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
