Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 11 minutes, Awwad Al Besher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waltham Cross's supporters crossed their fingers, but Awwad Al Besher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sultan Al Sharaf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Zaher Shalan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Solihull's Salah Al Dabos got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Qutada Al Bana was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Awwad Al Besher capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Awwad Al Besher really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Msaed Al Balool's late challenge caught a Solihull's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Msaed Al Balool helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th match minute, Waltham Cross was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Msaed Al Balool to maneuver through the defense. Sultan Al Sharaf got in the 30th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Younis Al Kandere handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Awwad Al Besher in the 36th minute of play forced Solihull's goalkeeper Qutada Al Bana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th match minute, Solihull was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sultan Al Sharaf to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute of the match, Shaheen Al Sherazi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Qutada Al Bana was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Awwad Al Besher in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Qutada Al Bana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Solihull's zone, Awwad Al Besher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Qutada Al Bana came out of the goal and Awwad Al Besher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Awwad Al Besher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sultan Al Sharaf made a kick off. Zaher Shalan struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Younis Al Kandere didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Solihull. 64 minutes into the match, Waltham Cross's goal looked a bit too open when Ebrahem Hayat came free, but Younis Al Kandere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zaher Shalan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Younis Al Kandere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 78 minutes, Sultan Al Sharaf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Solihull's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sultan Al Sharaf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Solihull's Esmael Jiragh got a free kick in the 87th minute. If Awwad Al Besher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shaheen Al Sherazi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Qutada Al Bana having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Waltham Cross had won after a very even match.
