An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Oun Ghadhanfer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Doaej Al Sherazi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jawad Taiban in the 14th minute of play. Harpenden City's supporters rose to their feet, but Qutada Al Rifaee was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rashed Al Hajraf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jawad Taiban during the 32nd minute. The long shot by Jalal Abol in the 45th minute really tested Rashed Al Hajraf's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Qutada Al Rifaee made a kick off. Jawad Taiban came free with the goalkeeper in the 56th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Doaej Al Sherazi could save by the left post. In the 59th match minute, Harpenden City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bassam Al Gareb to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute of the match Shabeb Al Najdi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Doaej Al Sherazi skillfully saved the ball. In the 63rd minute, Zahid Al Harban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, Harpenden City's goal looked a bit too open when Shabeb Al Najdi came free, but Doaej Al Sherazi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 81 played minutes Gloucester United got a freekick which was hit by Jawad Taiban. Gloucester United's Rashed Al Hajraf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oun Ghadhanfer in the 87th minute of play. After 88 minutes of play, Harpenden City's Oun Ghadhanfer made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rashed Al Hajraf was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Gloucester United's zone, Qutada Al Rifaee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rashed Al Hajraf came out of the goal and Qutada Al Rifaee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Harpenden City had won after a very even match.
