Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bashar Al Jarah kicked off to start the match. Hamad Bo Hamad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falah Al Ammar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Thorpe-le-Soken getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Fawzy Al Shemali hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the game, Ghaith Al Asuosi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hamad Bo Hamad. Ghaith Al Asuosi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ashton-in-Makerfield FC's goalkeeper Aesem Ashkanani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Bashar Al Jarah managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thorpe-le-Soken's supporters rose to their feet, but Bashar Al Jarah was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aesem Ashkanani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 25 minutes of play, Thorpe-le-Soken's Bashar Al Jarah made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aesem Ashkanani was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sayed Al Asuosi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hamad Bo Hamad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mahdi Al Balool in the 35th minute of play. If Mahdi Al Balool had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Mahdi Al Balool made the kick off in the second half. When Ghaith Al Asuosi fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ashton-in-Makerfield FC's protests and gave Ghaith Al Asuosi a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ashton-in-Makerfield FC's Ghaith Al Asuosi got a free kick in the 51st minute. Sayed Al Asuosi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ashton-in-Makerfield FC booed when Thorpe-le-Soken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hashem Al Khaled didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hamad Bo Hamad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mahdi Al Balool in the 61st minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Talal Khaja recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aesem Ashkanani. Talal Khaja showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Aesem Ashkanani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bashar Al Jarah, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Falah Al Ammar's late challenge caught a Thorpe-le-Soken's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Falah Al Ammar helped the player get up and apologised. Falah Al Ammar kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Talal Khaja took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aesem Ashkanani. Aesem Ashkanani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 86th minute Mahdi Al Balool shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamad Bo Hamad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Ashton-in-Makerfield FC's Aesem Ashkanani got control of the ball when Talal Khaja tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hamad Bo Hamad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sayed Al Asuosi in the 92nd minute of the match. Hamad Bo Hamad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sayed Al Asuosi in the 94th minute of play. Hamad Bo Hamad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mahdi Al Balool's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Mahdi Al Balool managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ashton-in-Makerfield FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mahdi Al Balool was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamad Bo Hamad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Thorpe-le-Soken players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
