In the 16th minute of the match Ammar Boland sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abbas Al Enzi skillfully saved the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Latchingdon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mansour Shadad to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, Latchingdon's goalkeeper Haitham Al Youha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yahya Al Ammar. After a rather tough play, Stamford FC's Mazen Al Attar got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Latchingdon's Ammar Boland couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Stamford FC. Nemir Al Hammady received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Haitham Al Youha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monther Hayat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abbas Al Enzi having to interfere. Haitham Al Youha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nemir Al Hammady, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Monther Hayat made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Monther Hayat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Mansour Shadad fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Latchingdon's protests and gave Mansour Shadad a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Mansour Shadad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Haitham Al Youha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nemir Al Hammady's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Haitham Al Youha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nemir Al Hammady, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After some careless play in the Latchingdon defense, Yahya Al Ammar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Haitham Al Youha. The Latchingdon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Haitham Al Youha should have stopped the shot. Haitham Al Youha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nemir Al Hammady, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stamford FC's Abbas Al Enzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Stamford FC from getting a goal against them. Moner Kakoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abbas Al Enzi having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Stamford FC's Nemir Al Hammady nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Haitham Al Youha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Monther Hayat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abbas Al Enzi having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Yahya Al Ammar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stamford FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yahya Al Ammar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
