Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lafi Al Mehana started the match with the kick off. Mostafa Al Qatam hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Majed Al Sayer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barnes's Rida Al Khames played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lafi Al Mehana in the 15th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Denholme FC's zone, Majed Al Arbash stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamed Al Nasser came out of the goal and Majed Al Arbash tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Majed Al Arbash managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barnes's supporters rose to their feet, but Majed Al Arbash was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamed Al Nasser breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Denholme FC's Hamed Al Nasser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Majed Al Arbash in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Lafi Al Mehana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rida Al Khames saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lafi Al Mehana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Majed Al Arbash in the 33rd minute of play forced Denholme FC's goalkeeper Hamed Al Nasser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Majed Al Sayer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Barnes's zone, Lafi Al Mehana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rida Al Khames came out of the goal and Lafi Al Mehana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rida Al Khames made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Ameer Al Najdi sent off a good shot on target. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Majed Al Sayer to strike the kick off in the second half. Majed Al Sayer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Hamed Al Nasser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lafi Al Mehana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rida Al Khames having to interfere. After 60 played minutes Barnes got a freekick which was hit by Majed Al Arbash. Lafi Al Mehana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Rida Al Khames tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denholme FC's Yaqoot Al Mosawe suffered a concussion after 64 minutes and had to leave the field. Faleh Al Sallal charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faleh Al Sallal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Barnes's Faleh Al Sallal got a free kick in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Barnes's goal looked a bit too open when Ameer Al Najdi came free, but Rida Al Khames reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denholme FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Naem Al Holey scored to the left of an out of position Hamed Al Nasser, making the score, 0-1. Majed Al Arbash sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
