In the 19thth minute of the game Hakem Al Wazan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but East Dereham's Nawaf Khorshed was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd match minute, East Dereham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ammar Al Sherazi to maneuver through the defense. Abdul Mohsen Al Muwail fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yaqoub Bo Abbas having to interfere. Yaseen Al Najdi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Yaqoub Bo Abbas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hakem Al Wazan in the 36th minute of play forced East Dereham's goalkeeper Nawaf Khorshed to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Naji Al Fadhalah fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored East Dereham's protests and gave Naji Al Fadhalah a yellow card for diving instead. Naji Al Fadhalah hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hakem Al Wazan to make the kick off. Abdul Mohsen Al Muwail blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yaqoub Bo Abbas having to make a save. Faris Al Amer kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. East Dereham were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Gainsborough United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Naji Kakoli took the corner. East Dereham's Naji Kakoli was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Yaqoub Bo Abbas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hakem Al Wazan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nawaf Khorshed read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th match minute, East Dereham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naji Al Fadhalah to maneuver through the defense. Gainsborough United's Hakem Al Wazan got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. East Dereham's Nawaf Khorshed played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sulaiman Al Naqi in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hakem Al Wazan in the 73rd minute of play forced East Dereham's goalkeeper Nawaf Khorshed to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yaseen Al Najdi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Yaqoub Bo Abbas made a huge save. A hard, long distance shot from Yaseen Al Najdi flew over the goal. If Ammar Al Sherazi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yaseen Al Najdi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Yaqoub Bo Abbas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ammar Al Sherazi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gainsborough United had won after a very even match.
