Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Qasem Al Khars started the match with the kick off. After 7 played minutes Leiston got a freekick which was hit by Jaffer Al Sayer. After 13 minutes, Waheed Al Barrak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Burtonwood and the Leiston players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Burtonwood's Waheed Al Barrak got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute of the match Aesem Al Bahar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jamal Al Banwan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Meshari Al Dekhel charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Meshari Al Dekhel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Qasem Al Khars might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rashed Al Youha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Qasem Al Khars ran back to his position shaking his head. Leiston's Rashed Al Youha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qasem Al Khars in the 28th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Majed Boften got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Burtonwood's goalkeeper Jamal Al Banwan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Qasem Al Khars might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rashed Al Youha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Qasem Al Khars ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Majed Boften received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Rashed Al Youha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Burtonwood's Qasem Al Khars sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rashed Al Youha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Nizar Al Towatan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jamal Al Banwan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ebrahem Al Adsani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qasem Al Khars in the 68th minute of play forced Leiston's goalkeeper Rashed Al Youha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Burtonwood's Jamal Al Banwan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Burtonwood from getting a goal against them. Majed Boften received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Rashed Al Youha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aesem Al Bahar hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Rashed Al Youha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Majed Boften, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Majed Boften had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Sameer Al Khames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ebrahem Al Adsani who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Jamal Al Banwan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Leiston walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
