The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The tension between the South Ockendon and the Malton United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to South Ockendon getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Wasel Al Motaire hit a great ball. In the 14th match minute, Malton United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barakat Al Sayer to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, South Ockendon's Hamed Baroun broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salam Al Hashash couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in South Ockendon's zone, Aamir Al Sherazi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ayman Al Naqi came out of the goal and Aamir Al Sherazi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 35 minutes into the match, Malton United's goal looked a bit too open when Mostafa Al Wazan came free, but Sami Al Mehana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ayman Al Naqi made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Aamir Al Sherazi sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute of the match Malton United got a corner. South Ockendon's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wael Al Harban ran over to the corner to take the kick. Malton United's Wael Al Harban was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ayman Al Naqi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Jalal Al Habshi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salam Al Hashash was the one to do the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Mostafa Al Wazan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Malton United getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Barakat Al Sayer hit a great ball. If Aamir Al Sherazi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salam Al Hashash in the 62nd minute of play forced South Ockendon's goalkeeper Ayman Al Naqi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ayman Al Naqi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salam Al Hashash in the 64th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Salam Al Hashash shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ayman Al Naqi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aamir Al Sherazi in the 78th minute of play forced South Ockendon's goalkeeper Ayman Al Naqi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. South Ockendon's Ayman Al Naqi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salam Al Hashash in the 81st minute of play. After 96 minutes, Wael Al Harban mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malton United and the South Ockendon players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched South Ockendon eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
