Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ramadan Al Bloshi got the match started through his kick off. Qasem Al Harban came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Thurmaston's Bandar Al Hadad. But to his dismay, Bandar Al Hadad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 10th minute, Ramadan Al Bloshi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thurmaston fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Ramadan Al Bloshi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Qasem Al Harban made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Bandar Al Hadad sent off a good shot on target. Zaher Al Sallal came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Cockermouth's Nabel Al Mosawe. But to his dismay, Nabel Al Mosawe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. With a little luck, Cockermouth's Qasem Al Harban got control of the ball when Bandar Al Hadad tried to sneak it across the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Thurmaston's Bandar Al Hadad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Qasem Al Harban narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Mosalam Baroun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zaher Al Sallal came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Cockermouth's Eyad Al Sharah. But to his dismay, Eyad Al Sharah quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Cockermouth's Eyad Al Sharah got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Mosalam Baroun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 3-2 became the score in the 40th minute when Bandar Al Hadad elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Manaf Al Hadad charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manaf Al Hadad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Manaf Al Hadad hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Zaher Al Sallal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nabel Al Mosawe in the 44th minute of play. Qasem Al Harban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramadan Al Bloshi in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eyad Al Sharah to strike the kick off in the second half. Gibrel Al Ghanem hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Ramadan Al Bloshi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thurmaston's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramadan Al Bloshi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Qasem Al Harban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Bandar Al Hadad came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Thurmaston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bandar Al Hadad couldn't finish the play. Qasem Al Harban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramadan Al Bloshi in the 63rd minute of the match. When Manaf Al Hadad was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. In the 69th match minute, Thurmaston was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manaf Al Hadad to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Nabel Al Mosawe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zaher Al Sallal was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. If Bandar Al Hadad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eyad Al Sharah received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zaher Al Sallal came out and tried to block the shot, but Eyad Al Sharah slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 76th minute. Eyad Al Sharah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Zaher Al Sallal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thurmaston's Zaher Al Sallal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Thurmaston from getting a goal against them. Cockermouth's Qasem Al Harban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bandar Al Hadad in the 87th minute of play. Meshal Al Mehana, 90 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Thurmaston's zone, Eyad Al Sharah stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zaher Al Sallal came out of the goal and Eyad Al Sharah tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zaher Al Sallal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eyad Al Sharah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cockermouth walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
