Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Carterton United's Moath Bahbhani started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ayoob Al Sharah during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 11 minutes into the match, Carterton United's goalkeeper Sultan Al Bana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bandar Bo Hamad. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Staithes City's Hamdan Al Dosery in the 17th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Sultan Al Bana was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Carterton United through an amazing save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moath Bahbhani in the 20th minute of play forced Staithes City's goalkeeper Barakat Al Fadhalah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Abdul Rahman Al Mahmed was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Staithes City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carterton United the free kick. In the 25th minute of the match Salem Al Bloshi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sultan Al Bana skillfully saved the ball. Sultan Al Bana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamdan Al Dosery, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carterton United's Doaej Al Qatam got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Moath Bahbhani took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barakat Al Fadhalah. Barakat Al Fadhalah dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 34th minute, Staithes City's Hamdan Al Dosery dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. If Fawaz Al Khobaize had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sultan Al Bana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamdan Al Dosery in the 42nd minute of play. Barakat Al Fadhalah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moath Bahbhani, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hamdan Al Dosery stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hamdan Al Dosery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bandar Bo Hamad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sultan Al Bana having to interfere. Jarah Abo Al Hasan hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Hamdan Al Dosery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barakat Al Fadhalah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fawaz Al Khobaize, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. When Rida Dehrab fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Staithes City's protests and gave Rida Dehrab a yellow card for diving instead. Rida Dehrab hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hani Al Jarah during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Staithes City's Hani Al Jarah got a free kick in the 67th minute. Moath Bahbhani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sultan Al Bana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamdan Al Dosery in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Carterton United booed when Staithes City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salem Al Bloshi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Carterton United walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
