An unexpectedly hard shot by Basem Shamsah in the 19th minute of play forced Thorne AFC's goalkeeper Yazeed Al Matrok to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Hurworth City's goal looked a bit too open when Othman Al Qatam came free, but Sanad Al Matrok reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Thorne AFC's Mosaed Al Fadhalah sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sanad Al Matrok narrowly saved just below the crossbar. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Thorne AFC reached it. After 66 minutes of play Thorne AFC's Shjae Al Dowaisan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Thorne AFC booed when Hurworth City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ammar Kamal didn't get a good kick on the ball.
