Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute Nawaf Shadad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ghazi Al Jalahma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romford's Ghazi Al Jalahma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nawaf Shadad in the 7th minute of play. Awwad Al Hashash recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Romford's Saher Al Harban got a free kick in the 10th minute. Nawaf Shadad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ghazi Al Jalahma read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Shabeb Al Bloshi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Awwad Al Hashash in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yaqoot Al Nasser saved Whitworth from getting behind. Yaqoub Al Rodhan scored 1-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ghazi Al Jalahma, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ghazi Al Jalahma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nawaf Shadad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Awwad Al Hashash recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 39 minutes, Nawaf Shadad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitworth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nawaf Shadad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yaqoot Al Nasser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shabeb Al Bloshi in the 43rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yaqoub Al Rodhan got free with Ghazi Al Jalahma in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Nawaf Shadad came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Whitworth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nawaf Shadad couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Awwad Al Hashash to make the kick off. Shabeb Al Bloshi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yaqoub Al Rodhan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ghazi Al Jalahma read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. After 62 minutes, Mazen Al Habshi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Romford and the Whitworth players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Meshal Bo Resley fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Romford's protests and gave Meshal Bo Resley a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Romford's Meshal Bo Resley got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute of the match Abdul Rahman Al Motar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ghazi Al Jalahma skillfully saved the ball. When Shabeb Al Bloshi came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Romford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shabeb Al Bloshi couldn't finish the play. Shabeb Al Bloshi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Yaqoot Al Nasser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Whitworth's Yaqoot Al Nasser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Awwad Al Hashash in the 84th minute of play. Yaqoub Al Rodhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ghazi Al Jalahma having to interfere. Yaqoot Al Nasser made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Shabeb Al Bloshi sent off a good shot on target. If Shabeb Al Bloshi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Whitworth fans cheered their team off the field, for while Romford had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
