The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yaqoub Sarkhoh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmad Abo Al Hasan, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. When Zaher Al Motaire fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Finsbury Park's protests and gave Zaher Al Motaire a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes Finsbury Park got a freekick which was hit by Zaher Al Motaire. In the 25th minute of the match Faris Al Adsani shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Othman Al Qatam showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Finsbury Park's goalkeeper Othman Al Qatam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jarah Al Motaire. Yaqoub Sarkhoh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmad Abo Al Hasan in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of Finsbury Park booed when Porlock United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarah Al Motaire didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mazen Al Barrak to make the kick off. A collision led to Finsbury Park getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Zaher Al Motaire hit a great ball. Yaqoub Sarkhoh made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Monther Al Nasser sent off a good shot on target. Othman Al Qatam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarah Al Motaire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 64 minutes of play, Finsbury Park's Monther Al Nasser made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yaqoub Sarkhoh was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jarah Al Motaire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 played minutes Porlock United got a freekick which was hit by Mazen Al Barrak. 75 minutes into the match, Mazen Al Barrak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Othman Al Qatam. Finsbury Park's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mazen Al Barrak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Mazen Al Barrak scored 2-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Othman Al Qatam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The long shot by Yousef Al Hajri in the 83rd minute really tested Yaqoub Sarkhoh's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Finsbury Park players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Porlock United.
