Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Eesa Al Ali started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 8th minute, Mosaed Al Saleh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rashed Al Mansor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rashed Al Saffar's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdul Aziz Al Gareb in the 12th minute of play forced Mevagissey City's goalkeeper Dhari Shams to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rashed Al Saffar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mosaed Al Saleh kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After 17 minutes, Seraj Al Sharaf mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mevagissey City and the Thatcham players grew even worse after the yellow card. Seraj Al Sharaf kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Yaseen Al Saleh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rashed Al Mansor having to make a save. Yaseen Al Salehs short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Rashed Al Mansor to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Yaseen Al Saleh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Rashed Al Mansor made a huge save. 32 minutes into the match, Mevagissey City's Yaseen Al Saleh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rashed Al Mansor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Thatcham's goalkeeper Rashed Al Mansor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th minute of the match Abbas Al Najdi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dhari Shams showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rashed Al Saffar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rashed Al Mansor having to interfere. Mevagissey City's Dhari Shams played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eesa Al Ali in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rashed Al Saffar in the 45th minute of play forced Thatcham's goalkeeper Rashed Al Mansor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Rashed Al Saffar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rashed Al Mansor having to make a save. Mevagissey City's Rashed Al Saffar got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Abdul Aziz Al Gareb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eesa Al Ali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 70 played minutes Mevagissey City got a freekick which was hit by Seraj Al Sharaf. In the 73rd match minute, Mevagissey City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seraj Al Sharaf to maneuver through the defense. Abdul Aziz Al Gareb came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dhari Shams could save by the left post. Abdul Aziz Al Gareb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dhari Shams having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Thatcham's goal looked a bit too open when Yaseen Al Saleh came free, but Rashed Al Mansor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eesa Al Ali might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dhari Shams. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eesa Al Ali ran back to his position shaking his head. Seraj Al Sharaf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rashed Al Mansor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yaseen Al Saleh in the 86th minute of play. Yaseen Al Saleh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rashed Al Mansor having to make a save. After having played for 93 minutes, Eesa Al Ali managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thatcham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eesa Al Ali was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thatcham's Rashed Al Mansor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rashed Al Saffar in the 96th minute of play. Rashed Al Mansor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rashed Al Saffar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
