Hook's Waleed Al Habshi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waleed Boften in the 13th minute of play. After 20 minutes, Majed Al Asuosi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baston and the Hook players grew even worse after the yellow card. With his leg Moner Al Shaikh managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Hook's Bahaa Al Dowaisan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sultan Al Holey's late challenge caught a Hook's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sultan Al Holey helped the player get up and apologised. Sultan Al Holey kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes in the game Shehab Al Muwail after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Moner Al Shaikh. A very good opportunity. The audience was convinced that Rashed Al Youha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Moner Al Shaikh was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Moner Al Shaikh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rashed Al Youha in the 61st minute of the match. Moner Al Shaikh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bahaa Al Dowaisan, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 70 played minutes Hook got a freekick which was hit by Rashed Al Youha. Moner Al Shaikh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bahaa Al Dowaisan in the 72nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Bahaa Al Dowaisan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hook's supporters rose to their feet, but Bahaa Al Dowaisan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hook's Waleed Al Habshi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Hook from getting a goal against them.
