The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Meshari Al Motaire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meqdad Al Ali having to interfere. If Meshari Al Motaire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the game, Ramadan Al Abdullah recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mansour Al Ghanem. Ramadan Al Abdullah showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 14th minute Mortada Al Baghli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meqdad Al Ali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Playing Place FC defense, Mortada Al Baghli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Meqdad Al Ali. The Playing Place FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Meqdad Al Ali should have stopped the shot. Meshari Al Motaire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mortada Al Baghli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Meqdad Al Ali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Meshari Al Motaire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meqdad Al Ali having to interfere. Playing Place FC's Meqdad Al Ali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Meshari Al Motaire in the 32nd minute of play. Mortada Al Baghli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meqdad Al Ali having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Southwell City's goalkeeper Mansour Al Ghanem had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hakem Al Adsani. Ramadan Al Abdullah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mansour Al Ghanem having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Playing Place FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mortada Al Baghli came free, but Meqdad Al Ali reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramadan Al Abdullah was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Playing Place FC's goalkeeper Meqdad Al Ali, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 52 minutes into the game, Belal Al Ramzi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Playing Place FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Southwell City the free kick. After 52 played minutes Playing Place FC got a freekick which was hit by Belal Al Ramzi. When Belal Al Ramzi was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 56 minutes had been played. Belal Al Ramzi hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Southwell City's Mortada Al Baghli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Meqdad Al Ali narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Ramadan Al Abdullah hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hakem Al Adsani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Mansour Al Ghanem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hakem Al Adsani might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mansour Al Ghanem. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hakem Al Adsani ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ghaith Al Gareb fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Southwell City's protests and gave Ghaith Al Gareb a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th match minute, Southwell City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ghaith Al Gareb to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute of the match Morad Al Baghli sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mansour Al Ghanem skillfully saved the ball. Hakem Al Adsani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mansour Al Ghanem read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Hakem Al Adsani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute.
