Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ripley United's Darweesh Al Shemali started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Hamdan Bahroh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Selsdon's supporters rose to their feet, but Hamdan Bahroh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fayez Dashti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 10 minutes into the match, Awwad Al Hammady had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bashar Al Youha. Selsdon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Awwad Al Hammady was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Darweesh Al Shemali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bashar Al Youha having to interfere. After 22 played minutes, Selsdon's Fawaz Al Ateqi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fayez Dashti came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Selsdon reached it. 24 minutes into the match, Selsdon's Tamem Al Khaled sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fayez Dashti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Moner Al Mosawe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Fayez Dashti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Moner Al Mosawe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fayez Dashti. Ripley United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moner Al Mosawe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Selsdon's zone, Darweesh Al Shemali stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bashar Al Youha came out of the goal and Darweesh Al Shemali tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Darweesh Al Shemali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fayez Dashti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moner Al Mosawe, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, Ripley United's Bandar Shams got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute, Wael Al Srae hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moner Al Mosawe made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Tamem Al Khaled ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fayez Dashti was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The audience was convinced that Darweesh Al Shemali's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bashar Al Youha was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moner Al Mosawe in the 66th minute of play forced Ripley United's goalkeeper Fayez Dashti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bashar Al Youha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Awwad Al Hammady in the 68th minute of the match. Moner Al Mosawe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fayez Dashti having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Awwad Al Hammady in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bashar Al Youha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Darweesh Al Shemali took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bashar Al Youha. Bashar Al Youha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. After a defensive mix-up in Selsdon's zone, Darweesh Al Shemali stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bashar Al Youha came out of the goal and Darweesh Al Shemali tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Moner Al Mosawe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
