Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gibrel Al Rodhan started the match with the kick off. Fakher Al Herz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Maitham Dashti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Masuod Al Qatam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grantham AFC's Aadil Al Balool proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Grantham AFC from getting a goal against them. Haitham Ghadhanfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute of the match, Haitham Ghadhanfer got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aadil Al Balool was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Aadil Al Balool showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gibrel Al Rodhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haitham Ghadhanfer got free with Aadil Al Balool in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Fakher Al Herz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fakher Al Herz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Maitham Dashti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mosab Al Azmi kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Luton's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Motlaq Shamsah was slow to take the kick. During this time Grantham AFC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Motlaq Shamsah almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Luton's Maitham Dashti did a great save. Aadil Al Balool made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gibrel Al Rodhan in the 40th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Grantham AFC's zone, Haitham Ghadhanfer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aadil Al Balool came out of the goal and Haitham Ghadhanfer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aadil Al Balool made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gibrel Al Rodhan in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fakher Al Herz to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Salam Bo Qamaz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maitham Dashti skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wasel Al Khaled in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aadil Al Balool saved Grantham AFC from getting behind. Aadil Al Balool showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gibrel Al Rodhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 61st minute of the match, Fakher Al Herz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Maitham Dashti saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Grantham AFC's Salam Bo Qamaz got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Grantham AFC's Aadil Al Balool played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gibrel Al Rodhan in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Haitham Ghadhanfer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 68th minute, Yazeed Al Hajraf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Haitham Ghadhanfer scored 1-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aadil Al Balool, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haitham Ghadhanfer in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aadil Al Balool saved Grantham AFC from getting behind. If Gibrel Al Rodhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Fakher Al Herz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maitham Dashti made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Masuod Al Qatam sent off a good shot on target. Luton's Gibrel Al Rodhan got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gibrel Al Rodhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aadil Al Balool having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Grantham AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Luton.
