After a defensive mix-up in Grays FC's zone, Haider Al Rifaee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sajid Al Shemali came out of the goal and Haider Al Rifaee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hamed Al Wazan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Firas Al Mofede in the 13th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Grays FC defense, Haider Al Rifaee kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sajid Al Shemali. The Grays FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sajid Al Shemali should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute of the match, Firas Al Mofede tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hamed Al Wazan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bandar Kakoli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the game, Edrees Dashti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grays FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meldreth United the free kick. After a rather tough play, Grays FC's Edrees Dashti got a free kick in the 25th minute. Firas Al Mofede blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hamed Al Wazan having to make a save. Sameer Al Ramzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sajid Al Shemali having to interfere. Firas Al Mofede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamed Al Wazan having to interfere. Sajid Al Shemali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haider Al Rifaee in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Firas Al Mofede in the 60th minute of play forced Meldreth United's goalkeeper Hamed Al Wazan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haider Al Rifaee succeeded in the game's 64th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sameer Al Ramzi got free with Sajid Al Shemali in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 71 minutes Grays FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Osama Al Motaire who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Osama Al Motaire got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sajid Al Shemali quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 77 minutes into the game, Bandar Kakoli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Meldreth United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hamed Al Wazan should have stopped the shot. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
