In the 11th minute, Haider Al Rifaee made a precise shot to the right of Mahdi Al Mehana. Croydon United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Meldreth United's Hamed Al Wazan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Meldreth United from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the match, Meldreth United's goalkeeper Hamed Al Wazan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mosab Al Ammar. The audience was convinced that Shaheen Bahroh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hamed Al Wazan was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Hamed Al Wazan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shaheen Bahroh's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Haider Al Rifaee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sameer Al Ramzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mahdi Al Mehana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Awwad Al Towatan during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Meldreth United's Awwad Al Towatan got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute Falah Jiragh managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Mosab Al Ammar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Hamed Al Wazan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mosab Al Ammar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Hamed Al Wazan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Croydon United booed when Meldreth United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eshaq Al Ansari didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mosab Al Ammar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mosab Al Ammar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Meldreth United were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Mahdi Al Mehana acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 52nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gibrel Al Towatan. Shaheen Bahroh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Shaheen Bahroh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Croydon United's supporters rose to their feet, but Shaheen Bahroh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamed Al Wazan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Shaheen Bahroh hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Meldreth United's Hamed Al Wazan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mansour Al Rifaee in the 65th minute of play. Haider Al Rifaee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Mahdi Al Mehana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Croydon United's Shaheen Bahroh got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mansour Al Rifaee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamed Al Wazan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mosab Al Ammar in the 82nd minute of play forced Meldreth United's goalkeeper Hamed Al Wazan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faris Al Ateqi charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faris Al Ateqi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th match minute, Meldreth United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faris Al Ateqi to maneuver through the defense. Jalal Dashti was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 89th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Shaheen Bahroh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hamed Al Wazan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
