Blackburn's Sulaiman Al Dosery proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Blackburn from getting a goal against them. Blackburn's Firas Al Khars suffered a concussion after 12 minutes and had to leave the field. After 12 minutes, Eyad Al Ramzi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grays FC and the Blackburn players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes Grays FC got a freekick which was hit by Eyad Al Ramzi. Sultan Al Bana struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Sajid Al Shemali didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blackburn. Firas Al Mofede recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bandar Kakoli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Sulaiman Al Dosery made a huge save. Sulaiman Al Dosery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Firas Al Mofede in the 22nd minute of play. Sultan Al Bana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sajid Al Shemali having to interfere. Firas Al Mofede might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sulaiman Al Dosery. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Firas Al Mofede ran back to his position shaking his head. Bandar Kakoli was extremely unlucky when he, in the 39th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Firas Al Mofede might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sulaiman Al Dosery. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Firas Al Mofede ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Sultan Al Bana made the kick off in the second half. If Firas Al Mofede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salim Shabakhoh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sajid Al Shemali having to make a save. Taqi Al Sallal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sajid Al Shemali having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Firas Al Mofede managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grays FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Firas Al Mofede was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sulaiman Al Dosery breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Firas Al Mofede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sulaiman Al Dosery having to interfere. Sulaiman Al Dosery stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bandar Kakoli's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. In the 83rd minute, Bandar Kakoli made a precise shot to the right of Sulaiman Al Dosery. Blackburn's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 93rdth minute of the game Bandar Kakoli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blackburn's Sulaiman Al Dosery was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Firas Al Mofede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sulaiman Al Dosery having to interfere.
