When Jawad Al Matrok fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fordingbridge City's protests and gave Jawad Al Matrok a yellow card for diving instead. Jawad Al Matrok hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 18 minutes of play Fordingbridge City's Jawad Al Matrok was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Mexborough booed when Fordingbridge City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jawad Al Matrok didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Faleh Al Homaithe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexborough's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faleh Al Homaithe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Faleh Al Homaithe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Bandar Al Shati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Fordingbridge City's goal looked a bit too open when Faleh Al Homaithe came free, but Bandar Al Shati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bandar Al Shati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faleh Al Homaithe in the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Faleh Al Homaithe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bandar Al Shati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Zahid Al Homaithe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zahid Al Homaithe was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faleh Al Homaithe in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bandar Al Shati prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Fordingbridge City's Bandar Al Shati got control of the ball when Naem Taqi tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Zahid Al Homaithe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Zahid Al Homaithe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fordingbridge City's supporters rose to their feet, but Zahid Al Homaithe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raed Al Sallal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Faleh Al Homaithe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mortada Al Mahmed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mexborough's Raed Al Sallal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zahid Al Homaithe in the 95th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Zahid Al Homaithe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fordingbridge City's supporters rose to their feet, but Zahid Al Homaithe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
