Zahid Al Amer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 26 minutes into the match, Dunston's goal looked a bit too open when Eyad Al Khames came free, but Msaed Khaja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Morad Taqi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Morad Taqi fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Westcliff on Sea City's protests and gave Morad Taqi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Westcliff on Sea City getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Morad Taqi hit a great ball. Ayman Al Hashash received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Zahid Al Amer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zahid Al Amer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ayman Al Hashash in the 43rd minute of play. 0-2 became the score in the 44th minute when Mansour Boften elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In a very dangerous position, a player in Westcliff on Sea City fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 51st minute. Penalty! Ayman Al Hashash could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Zahid Al Amer made a huge save. Msaed Khaja was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 88th minute Eyad Al Khames shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Msaed Khaja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eyad Al Khames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saher Al Banwan hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Dunston walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
