In the 27th minute, Valentin Seryugin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ippolit Semenov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksandr Kotov having to interfere. Vitaliy Simush fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Osichkin having to interfere. Ippolit Semenov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, Valentin Seryugin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aleksandr Kotov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ippolit Semenov to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Salavat FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ippolit Semenov came free, but Aleksandr Kotov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92ndth minute of the game Rustam Bezukhov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Novorossiysk's Ivan Osichkin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match was over Novorossiysk could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Salavat FC throughout the match.
