Viktor Adonev hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Sidor Hrutskiy from long distance, 9 minutes into the match, got Aleksandr Kuksin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 11 minutes into the match, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's goal looked a bit too open when Konstantin Buyanov came free, but Maksim Kostretsov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maksim Kostretsov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viktor Adonev in the 13th minute of play. Aleksandr Kuksin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gennadiy Dolganov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gennadiy Dolganov in the 16th minute of play forced Tula's goalkeeper Aleksandr Kuksin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Konstantin Buyanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Konstantin Buyanov in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maksim Kostretsov saved Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk from getting behind. Gennadiy Dolganov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Aleksandr Kuksin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Lev Lyagushin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Konstantin Buyanov sped through Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maksim Kostretsov. After a rather tough play, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's Grigoriy Kazakov got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute of the match Grigoriy Kurkin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maksim Kostretsov skillfully saved the ball. If Lev Lyagushin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 44 played minutes Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk got a freekick which was hit by Nikolay Moiseev. Konstantin Buyanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maksim Kostretsov having to interfere. After the first half Tula were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

57 minutes into the match, Tula's goal looked a bit too open when Grigoriy Kazakov came free, but Aleksandr Kuksin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Konstantin Buyanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maksim Kostretsov having to interfere. After some careless play in the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk defense, Ernest Chigirinov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maksim Kostretsov. The Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maksim Kostretsov should have stopped the shot. Gennadiy Dolganov might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aleksandr Kuksin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gennadiy Dolganov ran back to his position shaking his head. Aleksandr Kuksin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lev Lyagushin went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Maksim Kostretsov made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Ernest Chigirinov sent off a good shot on target. When Tula's Konstantin Buyanov in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's goalie prevented a goal. Viktor Adonev kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Gennadiy Dolganov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's supporters rose to their feet, but Gennadiy Dolganov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleksandr Kuksin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aleksandr Kuksin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gennadiy Dolganov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Tula getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Egor Babarykin hit a great ball. Aleksandr Kuksin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lev Lyagushin, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After having played for 95 minutes, Ernest Chigirinov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tula's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernest Chigirinov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tula had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
