Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gennadiy Belyaev ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 9th match minute, Novokuybyshevsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikolay Nazarov to maneuver through the defense. Arkadiy Cherednik kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. If Gennadiy Belyaev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denis Derevyankin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladislav Shuleikin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Anatoliy Taits shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Nozhkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrey Kanevskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. German Nozhkin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrey Kanevskiy's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Vladislav Shuleikin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gennadiy Belyaev in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gennadiy Belyaev in the 35th minute of play forced Novokuybyshevsk's goalkeeper Vladislav Shuleikin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gennadiy Belyaev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladislav Shuleikin having to interfere. Taganrog's Denis Derevyankin got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. German Nozhkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anatoliy Taits in the 42nd minute of the match. Anatoliy Taits scored 0-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of German Nozhkin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gennadiy Belyaev made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denis Derevyankin in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladislav Shuleikin saved Novokuybyshevsk from getting behind. German Nozhkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anatoliy Taits, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denis Derevyankin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladislav Shuleikin having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Taganrog's zone, Andrey Kanevskiy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. German Nozhkin came out of the goal and Andrey Kanevskiy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the game, Denis Derevyankin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Vladislav Shuleikin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vladislav Shuleikin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gennadiy Belyaev, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Vladislav Shuleikin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gennadiy Belyaev in the 72nd minute of play. If Denis Derevyankin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denis Derevyankin struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Vladislav Shuleikin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taganrog. Danil Kositskiy charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danil Kositskiy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Andrey Kanevskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Nozhkin having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Nikolay Nazarov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving German Nozhkin. That made the score 1-2 in the 97 minute of play. Novokuybyshevsk's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
